Milli Medjlis commission considers draft law "On prohibition of smoking in public places"

Chairman of the commission Hady Rajabli noted that it is expected to either adopt a separate legislative act to restrict smoking in public place or introduce some amendments to currently operating laws.

Speaking at the session, the author of the project, deputy Ganira Pashayev noted that adoption of the law is a necessity. She noted that the working legislation has no imperative norms, prohibiting smoking in public places.

In the result the deputies decided to hold discussions to develop a separate draft law, restricting smoking in public places, or introduce amendments to the currently working legislative acts.
