Water supply cut to several districts of Baku

Novosti-Azerbaijan reports with reference to Azersu engineer Ehtibar Ibrahimov, the reason of the absence of water in the lines are works, held on the main water pipe of 1,200 mm in diameter near the Azadlyg underground.

The Azersu workers are transferrring this line to a new place for it not to hinder the construction of a new underground station.

According to the engineer, the works will finish today and perhaps, water supply will resume on late December 4 in the quarters where it is supplied automatically. All regions of Baku will be supplied with water in the morning of December 5.


Presently, the water is not supplied to the houses of the residents of a part of the Nasimi, Sabail. Khatai districts (near the Khatai underground station), a part of Binagadi, Narimanov and Yasamal districts.

It should be noted that yesterday mass medias reported about the drowning of the constructed Azadlyg stations with water and a damage was caused to this station. The cause of the drowning became the rupture in the pipe along this station at Suleyman Sani street of Binagadi.

By preliminary information, there were no casualties, the construction works have been suspended. Officials of the Ministry of Emergency worked on the spot.
