Ice arena to be set and live concert to be held in Azadlyg square on New Year

Thus, the Bakuvians and the guests of our city will witness a grandeur disco party in Azadlyg square.

Special decorations will be used for the party, devoted to the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.

The erection of the highest 20 meter New Year tree, to be finished next week, has already started on the main square of the capital city. By the end of the week all trees along the central streets of the city will be decorated with garlands.

On December 31 the square will resemble a big theater stage. An ice arena of 250 square meters and a laser screen, covering an area of 300 square meters, will be set here. This screen will be raised at a height of 55 meters. For the greater attractiveness of the holiday panorama, multi-color light effects will be used. A sphere screen will be installed at a height of 18 meters.

The holiday march to start at 21:00 from the Fountain square, will end in the Azadlyg square. The developments on the square as well as other streets of our city will be displayed on the screen of 60 square meters to be installed before the building of the Government House.

On the moment of the Near Year coming in, unusual fireworks will turn our capital into a start world. Aerostat type balloons will be launched during the holiday from the building of the Government House.

The concert to last until morning will involve professional showmen from Russia, Turkey and Israel.

On the New Year the Azadlyg square will become a magical area, full of surprises. The contests will raise a special interest and the owners of beautiful holiday suits will be awarded on the Azadlyg square.
