Weather to turn colder in Azerbaijan

Deputy Director of National Hydrometeorological Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry Umayra Tagiyeva told APA that maximum wind speed would reach 15-20, sometimes 23-25 meters per second on the night of December 25-26. Toward the evening on December 26, the wind will become milder.

Beginning from December 26 till the end of the week the temperature is expected to fall by 3-5 C. The weather will be changeable at the end of the week.

The temperature will not be above 4-6 C in the afternoon in Absheron peninsula. It is expected to sleet at night in some places of the peninsula at the end of the week. The temperature will be 0-2 C at night.

It is predicted to sleet in the regions, mountainous and foothill areas over the weekend.
