Year "Baku-capital of Islamic culture-2009" to open at Heydar Aliyev's palace

She noted that mayors of some European cities and cities of Islamic states, as well as Ministers of Culture were also invited to the event.

According to Aliyeva, the event will be attended by ISESCO director general Al Tuveijri.

In the framework of the events on the opening of the year on February 18-19, events, presentation of the website "Baku the capital of Islamic culture -2009", as well as books "Ancient Baku" will be held at the central squares of Baku.

Over 100 national and international events are planned to be held in the framework of the year.

This year it is also planned to hold the sixth conference of the Culture Ministers of the Islamic states. The Azerbaijani side plans to invite representatives of several European states at this event.
