Person detained in the case of shooting at the Azerbaijani university faces charges

Nadir Aliyev was accused of complicity in a crime, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to sources at the  Baku Prosecutor's Office.

H. Aliyev was taken into custody.

Previously, it was reported that N.Aliyev, detained on May 1 as a suspect, born in 1984, is a fellow-villager of offender Farda Gadyrov.

The morning of April 30 a person, armed with a pistol, launched a fire in the building of the second corps of the Azerbaijan Oil Academy, killing 12 people, Nine more people with injuries of varying degrees of severity remain at the hospital.

The assailant committed suicide. He had documents on him in the name of a Georgian citizen, a resident of the Dashtepe village of Marneuli, Georgia, Farda Gadyrov.
