This sphere needs to be regulated seriously, head of the National Council of Television and Radio (NCTR) Nushirevan Maharramli told a conference "Regulation of Internet-media in Azerbaijan". The conference was organized by NCTR.
"Internet-media must be regulated not only by the government and NGOs. Internet-media must be regulated naturally," Maharramli said.
The ways to regulate e-media can be found through dialogue, he said.
Freedom of thought and expression must be observed in Internet-media, Council of Europe Special Representative in Azerbaijan Veronica Kotek said.
"Freedom of expression requires responsibility from Internet-media", Kotek said.
Azerbaijan can find ways to regulate Internet-media studying experience of European countries, she added.
