Azerbaijani communications minister is on visit to Switzerland

The object of the visit is to participate in the main session of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations to be held on July 14-15, to introduce presentation about global information exchange project “Transnational Eurasian Information Super Highway” to be realized on the regional initiative.

The project covers creating super information highway between West and East and facilitating access of regional states to ICT possibilities.

The highway will cover  Eastern Europe, CIS, Turkey, Iran, Central Asian countries including Afghanistan and Pakistan, enable to create the world’s new transnational giant information network in the region by accessing to China and India. The project will cover over 20 countries of the region.
