Cargo and passenger traffic can stop in Azerbaijan in daytime

Passenger trains leave Baku at evening and arrive destination point at early morning, Azerbaijan State Railway Office spokesperson Nadir Azmammadov said.

“Now only suburban electric trains run in Baku and cargo trains all over the country at daytime. Electric trains do not run from 13:00 to 15:00,” he said.

He said the temperature of rails is controlled all day long. If temperature goes up 60 degrees Celsius, the cargo and passenger traffic will be stopped.
