"Pilgrims will be also examined after they return home," the ministry said.
About 2,000 Azerbaijanis will make Hajj pilgrimage in late 2009. About 300 people will go by bus and 1,700 by plane.
"About 6,000 people from Azerbaijan wanted to make pilgrimage in 2008. But number of pilgrims was reduced up to 2,000 in 2009 due to A(H1N1) virus, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-al-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade said earlier.
Azerbaijan confirmed two swine flu cases in late July. The virus was revealed with two travelers who "imported" the disease from France and the United Kingdom.
Major symptoms of this virus include high temperature, cough, pain in threat, pain in body, headache, chill, weakness, as well as diarrhea and retching.
