Rise in Georgia's 'swine flu' cases

26 August 2009 [13:26] - TODAY.AZ
A total of 14 "swine flu" (A/H1N1) cases have been revealed in Georgia.
A young girl who was resting in Turkey with friends has contracted the virus, the Georgian Health Ministry said.

The ministry said this is a next case of 'imported' virus to Georgia and thus far, no A/H1N1 cases  or spread of the virus from one person to another have been registered in Georgia.

Earlier, the virus was 'imported' from Germany, Spain and UK.

The infected girl's state is normal and she is being treated.

Some 13 'swine flu' cases registered earlier in Georgia were not serious and were treated easily.
