The document reflects the prospects of cooperation among emergency situation agencies of the BSEC member states.

At present, the mechanism of removing consequences of emergency situations in the world is at an unsatisfactory level, BSEC Deputy Secretary General Altay Afandiyev said.

"Casualties resulting from disasters worldwide suggest that the mechanism used in the world emergency situation agencies is not efficient. It needs to be improved in order to promptly prevent possible human loss during disasters," Afandiyev said.

The Baku conference will contribute to the improvement of this mechanism, he said.

Afandiyev said at the end of the conference, it is expected to adopt a declaration on joint cooperation of the BSEC countries' emergency situations agencies.
