18 September 2009 [13:07] - TODAY.AZ
Visa visa should be simplified for EU partners, but it should not be canceled fully, European Neighborhood Policy Office Administrator Giovanni Cremonini said in a news conference in Baku on Sept, 18.
"Our partners are attentively viewing illegal migration and human trafficking and we would like to simplify maximally trips to EU countries," Cremonini said.

Cremonini said the Eastern Partnership has two approaches to relations: bilateral and multilateral.

"With regard to multilateral partnership, we have determined four platforms in four directions," Cremonini added.

The EU implies democracy, good management and stability under the first, economic integration and policy of meeting European legislation under the second, energy issues under the third and international relations under the fourth.

"On the basis of these platforms, we offer procedures meeting the European legislation, share experience and share it with Eastern Partnership member states," Cremonini said.

The Eastern Partnership is the Polish-Swedish initiative in the neighborhood policy, aimed at improving the EU's relations with the post-Soviet countries. The program was approved at a meeting of the EU on March 20. Eastern Partnership will cover the six countries neighboring the European Union: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus. Under the program the EU will allocate 600 million euro to neighbor-countries in 2009-2013.
