Court issues decision on Azerbaiianis who illegally fought in Afghanistan, Pakistan

On Oct. 26, the Azerbaijani court issued a sentence on Azerbaijanis who fought together with Taliban against the Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan.
The Serious Crimes Court finalized the trial of Azerbaijani citizens Vugar Huseynov and Rauf Abdullayev, who joined Taliban illegal armed groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

They were sentenced to six months in jail.

Husyenov and Abdullayev participated in the military trainings in Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2008.

They also participated together with Taliban fighters in the battles against the Azerbaijani peacekeepers.

Husyenov and Abdullayev were arrested this year by the Ministry of National Security.
