Advisor to the Iranian President, Mehdi Mostafavi, has hailed the Azerbaijani government`s attention towards Islam in the country.

Talking on Tuesday to Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, on the second day of his Azerbaijan visit, he hailed the construction of mosques across the country.
Mostafavi, who also heads Iran`s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, hailed Pashazade`s efforts “to promote Islamic values in the region”.
On his Baku visit, the Iranian Presidential Advisor said he had had fruitful meetings at the Cabinet of Ministers and Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
He also praised the Azerbaijan-Iran relations, describing them as “friendly and increasingly strengthening”.
Pashazade expressed confidence the Iranian Presidential Advisor`s visit “will contribute to strengthening our countries` cooperation even more”.
On the Azerbaijan-Iran relations, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board echoed Mostafavi`s praises, saying the two countries “have considerably developed their political, economic, cultural and religious ties over the last few years”.
Pashazade touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and praised Iran`s contribution to resolving the dispute “on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity”.
Pashazade also spoke of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s efforts to strengthen the country`s international profile.
