Nearly 7-8 percent of Azerbaijani population will be vaccinated with anti-AH1N1 vaccines to be sent by the World Health Organization, chief of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Center at the Health Ministry Victor Gasimov said.
He said the vaccines would be brought to Azerbaijan by small consignments because it was produced in small numbers.
Gasimov said the Health Ministry was identifying the priority groups to be vaccinated.
“As a first step, doctors who have contacted with ill people, border guards, customs officers, international flight crew members and children at certain ages will be vaccinated. It will depend on size of vaccine consignments sent to the country," he said.
WHO will to send 300 millions doses of vaccines to some countries. The first consignment of vaccines will be sent in November to 90 countries, including Azerbaijan.
