Georgia will make amendments to the law on higher education to launch program on teaching Georgian language to students of Armenian and Azerbaijani origin, who are Georgian nationals at the same time.

The parliamentary committee on education, science and culture will review the bill today.
Under the amendments, students of Armenian and Azerbaijani origin who study at the accredited higher schools will take the Georgian language courses. The students will be enrolled according to results of exams on genera skills.
The students will take the exam in their native language.
They will study the Georgian language to the extent that is necessary to continue studies in bachelor’s degree.
