All secondary schools in Baku will be disinfected to prevent AH1N1 (“swine flu”) threat, spokeswoman for the Baku City Education Office Zamina Aligizi said.

She said the disinfection would be conducted according to the warning letter from the Baku City Hygienic and Epidemiology Center.
“Recently secondary schools were closed in Turkey and Russia because of “swine flu” spread, which causes anxiety in the Azerbaijani community. There is no reason for serious concern about the “swine flu” infection in Azerbaijan yet, but it is expedient to conduct disinfection work among the population, including educational centers as well. The schools will be disinfected this weekend”.
Aligizi said the schools would work in normal next week.
“We urge the parents who reveal signs of flu in their children not let them go schoo," Aligizi said.
Disinfection will be conducted at the secondary schools first. There are 326 schools under the Baku City Education Office with nearly 326,000 children studying there.
