The Republican Anti-Plague Station recommends the Azerbaijani citizens not to travel to the countries where AH1N1 (“swine flu”) cases were identified, the stations’ assistant director Shair Gurbanov said.
"The border check-points and customs offices should examine the people who arrive from those countries more attentively. The citizens are recommended to avoid travels to those countries if it is not necessary. This is one of the main recommendations by the World Health Organization”.
Gurbanov said the citizens should strongly observe personal hygienic to protect themselves from the virus.
“It is necessary to wash hands with soap or disinfectant liquids after using the public transport or touching something on the way. The people with flu signs should be isolated immediately and call the doctors. The authorities are asked to be more attentive to this issue," he said.
The Republican Anti-Plague Station has examined 1,043 people with 38 and above temperature since April this year. Only two of them were identified infected abroad. Both of them recovered.
