11:17Tumen-Baku passenger train railway tracks of which were blown up in Dagestan is heading to Baku, Azerbaijan Railways Spokesperson Nadir Azmammadov said.
He said the locomotive has restored.
“As many as 250 Azerbaijanis are on board of the train. No causalities were reported. The driver is also unhurt,” Azmammadov said.
He said the train will arrive in Baku at 18:37.
“The train will arrive a little later due to the incident. The train is owned by the Azerbaijan Railways,” he added.
11:00Railway tracks were blown up in front of the Tumen-Baku passenger train number 374 in Dagestan at early morning on Nov. 30 , Department of Internal Affairs on Transport of Makhachkala said.
No causalities are reported yet.
“On Monday morning on the picket Number 7 Izberbash-Inchkhe in Dagestan railway tracks were blown up on the way of the passenger train en route from Tumen to Baku. There are no victims or injuries according to preliminary reports,” the source said.
The same source said the train was not derailed, with the locomotive pulling cars about 150 meters on the already damaged surface.
The law enforcement agencies said that the blast occurred on an even path. The train has already stopped.
Law enforcement officials and representatives of other emergency services have arrived at the scene.
