Azerbaijan notes rise in crimes committed by women

The number of crimes committed by women has recently increased in Azerbaijan, chairperson of the State Committee for Problems of Family, Women and Children Hijran Huseynova said at the press conference.

Huseynova said the misunderstandings, conflicts and violence in families sometimes lead to grave crimes.

The committee implements woman-related programs in jails.

“We try to work with families that have problems and contact the members of the families, where crime was committed," she said.

"We make efforts to organize computer courses and open libraries in jails," she added.
