Presentation of the Azerbaijani and Tajik languages textbooks for the CIS countries was held at the Institute of Asian and African Countries (IAAC) at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The textbook of the Azerbaijani language for the CIS countries has been published by specialists of the Institute of Asian and African Countries in the frame of the project “Textbooks for the CIS countries” with support of Interstate Fund of Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states.
The edition is intended, first of all, for high schools of the CIS countries in which the Azerbaijani language is studied as the basic or second foreign language.
The topics contain thematic lessons with grammatical explanations, texts, exercises and dictionary. The textbook provides with a summary dictionary and special CD language courses.
In his opening remarks, rector of IAAC Professor Michael Meyer named this event significant in the life of the Commonwealth countries. He expressed gratitude to Interstate Fund of Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS countries for financial support of the project.
The rector noted importance of realization of such projects in the context of overcoming of language barriers for the purpose of integration deepening between the CIS countries.
The ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloglu noted the importance of the fact of the edition of textbooks of the Azerbaijani and Tajik languages in Russia.
“Now, Azerbaijanis live practically in each region of Russia, and their children have desire to study the native language, to speak on it, living in Russia. And such projects as the edition of specialised textbooks, are just directed on solution of these questions," he stressed.
