Azerbaijani ombudsman discusses eastern partnership-related project in Warsaw

Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova joined discussions in Warsaw around Eastern Partnership-related projects initiated by Polish and French ombudspersons and supported by the European Union.

The project envisages cooperation among Azerbaijani, Georgian, Armenian, Polish, Ukrainian, Moldovan ombudsmen in 2009-2013 with respect to regional human rights problems.

Suleymanova let her counterparts know about the activity of ombudsperson`s institution, mass violation of human rights in the wake of Armenia`s occupying Azerbaijani lands.

She expressed assurance that the conflict would be settled due to joint efforts of world community, international organizations including the European Union.
