“Some officials demand not to use loud-speakers for azan without any order”, said Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade at the meeting of Gazi Council on Tuesday
He said only mosques located near hospitals and similar facilities cannot use loud-speakers.
“If people use loud-speakers at weddings, conferences and streets, why believers can not use it? But sometimes there are five men in the mosque and they use loud-speaker. There is no need for that."
Pashazade said it was not correct to sound azan in the different times.
“Some mosques sound azan 10 minutes early and some 10 minutes later. It is not correct. Let both Sunni and Shiite communities to sound azan at the same time," he added.
