According to passengers, they can’t get tickets for December 29-31 because they are told all tickets were sold out.
They claim the problem is artificial because ticket saleswomen sell tickets under counter.
Azerbaijan Railways Spokesperson Nadir Azmammadov attributed the shortage of tickets to sold-out.
“There are 50 ticket windows in Baku and they work on three shifts. About 3,000 tickets are sold a day,” he added.
He noted that additional carriages will be coupled to the trains from December 29 for the increased flow of passengers on holidays.
