Azerbaijan will implement system of satellite control over the ships that enter its national sector on the Caspian Sea, chief of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration (ASMA) Gudrat Gurbanov said.
ASMA, the State Border Service and navy will control the navigation via the Remote Monitoring and Control System, which consists of equipments produced in Norway.
“Azerbaijan is able to control the ships that navigate in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea through the equipments at its disposal," Gurbanov said.
Gurbanov said the Remote Monitoring and Control System would be put in operation in February-March, 2010.
