Azerbaijan National Security Ministry mountaineers conquer "Ilham peak"

A group of National Security Ministry`s officers ascended the 4042-meter “Ilham Peak” in the Shahdagh Mount of the Greater Caucasus range on the occasion of President Ilham Aliyev's birthday.

The alpinists reached the summit on December 24, at 01:00 p.m to deploy the national flag of Azerbaijan.

The mountaineers set off towards the Ilham Peak from Khinalyg village.

The aim of expedition is to support President Ilham Aliyev`s domestic and foreign policy.

The ascent was supported by State Frontier Service, Ministries of Youth and Sport, Ecology and Natural Resources, and “Dag” Sport Club.
