26 December 2009 [10:15] - TODAY.AZ
Member of the Azerbaijani parliament says more efforts must be made to identify secret HIV-positive people.
Ganira Pashayeva said identification of the secret drug addicts should also be intensified.

Pashayeva urged for prevention of the disease.

“The problem should be addressed in time. Televisions and radios should conduct educational campaign. According to the law, 20 minutes of airtime should be allocated by state-run and public televisions to educational work for HIV/AIDS prevention," the MP said.

"However, such programs should last not less than 90 minutes. On the other hand, such programs should be broadcast in prime time. Organizations which have to conduct the educational work should be more responsible," she added.
