TV broadcasting suspended in southern Azerbaijan

Television broadcasting has been suspended in the southern Azerbaijan (Lankaran, Astara, Lerik, Jalilabad).

Curvature has been formed in the 104th meter of television mast with the height of 150 meters in Lerik District, Lerik region's Emergency Situations Commission Deputy Chairman Balali Rzayev said.

Windy weather in the region caused the curvature.

Rzayev said there were problems in restoring the television mast in connection with windy and snowy whether.

At present, providing the region with electricity is also suspended.

About 60 employees of Azerenergy have been dispatched to Lerik to conduct restoration and repair work.

Rzayev said that electricity supply to villages can be restored in two days in connection with the large scale of damage caused by storm.

Today operations to restore electricity supply to Lerik will continue.
