06 January 2010 [17:05] - TODAY.AZ
A major terrorist attack along the Baku-Moscow railway in Makhachkala has been prevented, Russia’s Federal Security Service Dagestan bureau said.
FSB was informed about explosive devices on the railroad.

"An explosive of contact action in form of a mixture of ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder was placed in a metal container under electric pylons a meter away from the railway track," the source said.

"Its power was up to 10 kilograms of TNT," a source in FSB said, adding that the sappers destroyed the bomb with the help of a robot manipulator.

Movement of trains was suspended.
