Movement of Baku-Kiev train resumed after removing explosive device

The Baku-Kiev train, earlier stopped on the way to the capital of Dagestan - Makhachkala due to detection of an explosive device established in the Tarki-Makhachkala stretch of North Caucasian Railways, continued its movement towards the destination, the head of the press service of Azerbaijan Railways JSC, Nadir Azmammadov, said on Jan. 6.  

"The train was stopped by the law-enforcement agencies of Dagestan, not reaching Makhachkala and the zone of the explosive device, at 10:40 local time. After the device installed on a railroad track was removed, the train continued its movement," said Azmammadov. The train was stopped at 2292-kilometer of Tarki-Makhachkala stretch of North Caucasian Railway.

Azmammadov said that the train will reach the destination with several hours delay.
