Azerbaijan issues first Environmental Atlas

Atlas, published in Baku Map Factory, consists of 11 sections (on the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, the Earth, the biosphere, landscape, vegetation, wildlife, natural phenomena, ecology, society, the legal framework of the environment of Azerbaijan). Atlas contains more than 150 maps.

Maps on Azerbaijan are compiled at 1:1 500 000 and 1:3 000 000 scale.

The atlas also contains illustrations of animals and trees in the "Red Book" of Azerbaijan.
