Azerbaijani president offers condolences to his Haitian counterpart

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Haitian counterpart Rene Preval over the loss of many lives caused by the devastating earthquake in the country.

“I was shocked upon hearing the news on the loss of many lives caused by the earthquake. On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I offer sincere condolences to you, families and relatives of the dead and all the people of Haiti, and wish recovery to the injured,” the President said.
