MP: Social spending priority in Azerbaijan's 2010 budget

Azerbaijan's 2010 State Budget places an emphasis on social spending, said deputy chief of the Parliament's social policy committee Musa Guliyev.

“This year`s social budget will be over 30 percent,” he said.

“Strengthening the social protection of the population has always been the number one priority for the government.”

“Despite 2009 was the year of global crisis, Azerbaijan did not postpone the execution of social programs. The same will be in 2010,” added Guliyev.
