Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society numbers already over 260,000 members

Society’s president Novruz Aslanov says that today Organization’s has membership of 260,000 people.

“ARCS has 83 branches and 7 regional centres,” Aslanov said.

Currently the Society realizes a range of important projects.

“According to our strategic plans, we give preference to the projects relating to youth. In this direction we have several programs, including for example, Blood Donor Program supported by the Norwegian government and the International Committee of the Red Cross. We are also implementing programs on fighting against AIDS spread and drugs addiction. Jointly with the ICRC we are also realizing project “Safe Playgrounds."

"It aims to ensure safety of children in regions near occupied territories and front,” Aslanov said.
