Azerbaijan’s Shahdagh tourist resort construction to start in spring

Azerbaijan began preparation of infrastructure to start construction of Shahdagh winter-summer tourist resort in the northern Gusar region of the country, APA reports. 2000 ha area was chosen near Aladagh and Lza villages of Gusar region for the construction of resort complex. Austrian, French, Russian and Turkish experts were involved in the implementation of the project. They are researching land rocks and elaborating appropriate construction project, doing some infrastructure work – construction of road, gas and power lines.

Gusar authorities told APA that they are constructing gas pipeline, which will supply seven remote villages with the natural gas.

There will be 30 km sledge way, 9 km rope, as well as open air and other sports installation in the complex. It will have 5000 accommodations. Several foreign construction companies will be involved in the construction work, which will be started in spring.

The authorities said land owners would receive compensation or new land pieces.
