The Netherlands Committee of Justice for Khojaly will hold events to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy as part of the international media campaign Justice for Khojaly, the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told Trend News.

Activities will begin Feb.26 by laying a wreath at the monument to the victims of Khojaly tragedy, set in 2008 in the Hague by the Azerbaijani -Turkish Society.
On the same day the Open University of Amsterdam will host a conference devoted to the 18th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, organized by the Committee and the NGO Anatolian students.
Reports are expected to be delivered by Azerbaijan's ambassador to the Netherlands Fuad Iskenderov, the guest from Germany, writer Orkhan Araz, a Turkish poet Yavuz Bülent Bakiler, as well as a mourning concert by the pianist Sarah Crombie, teacher of Amsterdam University, who will perform compositions of Azerbaijani authors during the event.
It is considered to demonstrate a photo exhibition "We demand justice for Khojali", a documentary film about the tragedy in the town of Khojaly and present the music video Justice for Khojali.
The chairman of the Netherlands Committee of Justice for Khojali, a knight of the Royal Order Gert van Dam will announce the results of the campaign gathering petitions in favor of the campaign that began on the Human Rights Day on Dec. 10, 2009: collected more than 3,000 signatures.
The Netherlands Committee of Justice to Khojali was created in September 2009 by the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations with the support of an international information campaign with the same name.
