Protest action to commemorate the Khojaly massacre held outside UN Headquarters in NY - PHOTOS

The Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA), the Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC) and the Society of Young Turks of the United States organized a protest action to commemorate 18th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide outside the UN Headquarters in New York, on Feb. 26.

The AAC and ASA conduct this event outside the UN Headquarters annually.

Despite cold weather and heavy snowfall in New York, representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities attended the event.

The protesters chanted slogans calling for justice for the Khojaly massacre victims and recognition of this massacre as a crime against humanity committted by Armenian forces in back in Feb. 1992.
