The Geology Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will hold an international workshop on "Modern geodynamics' impact on the physico-mechanical state of the geological environment of sedimentation," March 1 - 3, the institute reported.
The event, which will bring together scientists from Germany, France, Russia and Georgia, will discuss the geodynamic conditions and problems of seismic hazard in the Caucasus and South Caspian Basin.
The workshops will also mark the 80th anniversary of honored scientist, active member of Russia Natural Sciences Academy, founder of Paleomagnetism science in Azerbaijan and doctor of physico-mathematical sciences Tofig Ismayilzade.
