Event to commemorate Khojaly massacre held in Rotterdam – PHOTOS

The Khojaly Genocide was marked in Rotterdam, the largest port city of Europe, Azerbaijan’s Ireli Public Association said.

Azerbaijan’s Ireli Youth Association has already organized protest actions and events to commemorate 18th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide in  the Netherlands, the United Kingdom , France, Germany, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

The protest action in Rotterdam began with a demonstration outside the Rotterdam municipality. This was followed by a march to the city center which was attended by 200 people. The next step was to organize an international conference on Khojali Genocide. The aim of the conference was to raise awareness of the Dutch public about the Armenian crimes against humanity.

The action jointly organized by the Azerbaijani-Dutch Society for Solidarity and Ireli Public Association was attended by over 300 local and foreign citizens.

The commemorative activities in the Netherlands were organized by chairman of the Azerbaijani-Dutch Society of Solidarity Elkhan Isazade and the representative of Ireli in the Netherlands Hafiz Mehtiyev.
