"Virtual University" pilot project launched in Azerbaijan

Pilot project is being implemented by some departments of these universities to explore the possibilities of distance learning.

Tutors for the pilot project were trained by E-Learning Center, established jointly by AzRENA Education Association, Baku State University and German IMC company as part of the TACIS project “The development of the electronic community in the South Caucasus."

"Virtual University" is designed to fully or partially convert all learning processes to virtual environment, including distribution of materials, publication of news, communication between students in a classroom and personal communication between students and teachers.

At present, Baku State University is the only university where the project "Virtual University" is fully implemented.
