Nowruz festivities held in Germany - PHOTOS

At the Coordination Centre of Azerbaijanis in Germany (CCAG) holiday Nowruz was marked with artistic program performed by children, the Azerbaijani embassy in Germany reported.

Speaking at the event, the executive director of CCAG Samira Patzer Ismailova congratulated those present on the occasion, described the history and traditions of the holiday of Nowruz.

An employee of the State Committee for Diaspora Saadat Mammadova gave congratulations to the participants of the event from the Committee management. According to her, the recognition by the UN the day of March 21 as an international day of Nowruz is a landmark event.

Nowruz was also celebrated in the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany.

Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Parviz Shahbazov spoke about the role of the Nowruz holiday in spreading the information about the ancient culture and history of the Azerbaijani people in the world. He said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to this holiday, every year Nowruz is observed in the highest level.

Furthermore, in a concert saloon "Meister" the concert was organized by the Azerbaijani embassy in Germany.
