Azerbaijani injured in Moscow subway blast - UPDATE

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu said that Jabi Aliyev is doing allright, and he is undergoing treatment at the moment.

"Now our concern is the fact that eight more bodies remain unidentified, and among them also may well be Azerbaijanis," said Bulbuloglu.

APA could get some information about Jabi Aliyev, who was wounded during a terrorist attack in the Moscow subway.

Aliev was born in 1982 in Baku, and lived in the village Hovsan. In 1993, he and his mother moved to Moscow. Aliyev is a Russian citizen. Aliyev’s father lives in Baku, and works at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

In Moscow, Jabi works as a computer programmer. He was heading to his work office, when the blast happened in the subway near the “Culture Park” station.

Aliyev received minor shrapnel wounds to his back as a result of the explosion. On the same day of the attack he did not attend a doctor, and went home. Later though he did, when he started feeling pain.

Health condition of 27-year old Azerbaijani Zabi Aliyev, who suffered in an explosion in the Moscow metro stations, is estimated as moderate, the Moscow Research Institute of Emergency Care named after N.V. Sklifosofskiy told Trend News.

According to hospital staff, Aliyev is in the first surgical ward.

On Monday morning, explosions occurred at the metro stations "Lubyanka" and "Park Kultury". According to the recent figures, about 39 people died and 65 were taken to the hospital.

An Azerbaijani has got injured during the blasts in the Moscow subway on Monday, consul of Azerbaijani embassy in Russia Huseyn Huseynov said.

“The embassy’s officers will leave for the Sklifosovski hospital to visit the injured man,” the consul said.

There is no Azerbaijani among the dead, the consul added.

The list of victims of the Moscow subway blast updated by the Russian Emergency Ministry includes 38 dead; 24 of them have been identified.

The list of hospitalized individuals includes some 27-year-old Zabi Israfil Aliyev, who is alleged to be Azerbaijani.
