Film festival "Azerbaijan Family - 2010" to be held in Baku

The State Committee for Problems of Family, Women & Children, the Heydar Aliyev’s Foundation and the UN Population Fund are to organize a film festival on the theme “Azerbaijani Family – 2010”.

The Committee says that the festival goal is use of cinematograph opportunities for raising importance of family in the society, public status of Azerbaijani family, and an interest to family values.

“A fund of video materials will be created for enlightening works. The festival receives films on the theme: optimal conditions for development and raising of children in family, the role of large families in the society, keeping and strengthening of national family values, the role of children in family, health of family, psychological climate,” the SCPFWC reported.

The winner will be chosen in nominations as follows: The Best Film, The Best TV program, The Best Student Film, The Best Video on Social Theme.

The film and forms should be submitted until 25 April 2010 to the Organization Committee (add: 40, Hajibeyov Street, Baku; House of Government; Room 4). Demonstration of films will take place from 1 to 5 May. The awarding ceremony will be conducted on 12 May.
