Iranian citizen Roohihir Mohseni accused of fraud embezzling over 1 mln manat stands retrial in Azerbaijan.

Today, the Azerbaijani Heinous Crimes Court held a preparatory meeting on the criminal case of Mohseni. Judicial review is scheduled for Apr.16.
According to accusation, Mohseni deceived several residents of Baku, as well as several people in Bina trade center by gaining their trust. Iranian citizen has defalcated over 1 million manat from more than 10 employees of Bina trade center. Taking their money, he promised to bring delft ware made in Iran but did not fulfill his promise.
Mohseni was accused on article 178.3.2 (big damage fraud) of the Azerbaijani Code. He was imprisoned for 7 years upon decision of grave crimes court.
Accused spoke during process at the Baku Appeal Court headed by Judge Safarov Rasul. He said that investigation was wrong in grave crimes court. Judge liquidated verdict of grave crimes court and submitted criminal case for repeated consideration to the first court instance.
The Heinous Crimes Court decided to return the criminal case on retrial and the decision against Baku Police Department's Investigator Ilyas Karimov who investigated the case.
The criminal case that was re-investigated by the Baku Police Department was sent to the court.
