Young Georgian Azerbaijanis lay wreath at memorial to victims of April tragic events in Tbilisi

On April 9, representatives of the young Georgian Azerbaijanis laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the tragic events in Tbilisi April 9, 1989.

About 60 Azerbaijani students studying in Georgia, paid tribute to the fallen in the struggle for freedom of Georgia.

April 9 Georgia marks as the Day of Restoration of Independence and the 21-st anniversary of the tragic events of 1989.

Traditionally, people lay tulips to the staircase leading to the parliament building in memory of the dead in Tbilisi that day. Residents of the capital gathered at the place where the tragedy occurred.

An organization of young Georgia's Azerbaijanis was established in 2009. Earlier, it functioned as an initiative group. The main purpose of the organization is the integration of Azerbaijanis into the Georgian society. Chairman of the Association Samira Ismayilova also participated in the event.
