Azerbaijani postal operator to get bank license by next week

System of postal banks starts operating in Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov said by next week they would issue license to national postal operator Azerpocht for banking operations.

“Fast connection of postal branches is underway. Their turnover in payment system is on-growing. We are going to license them really by next week,” Rustamov said.

The system will compose about 1,200 banks.
