Azerbaijan sets quota for labor migrants at 10,700 this year

According to Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Fuzuli Alakbarov, number of labor migrants in the country increased in the first quarter of the year.

“Presently, 6,386 persons from 82 countries are engaged in labor activity in the country on the basis of the individual permission. During the first quarter, 1,976 persons extended term of permit for activity which is by 397 persons (1.3-fold) more than the corresponding period of last year,” the minister added.
