Today, Baku hosted the presentation of the book "The victims of the genocide committed by Armenians - Baganis Ayrim" published in English language. MP Ganira Pashayeva and Akif Ashirli are the authors of the book.
The book tells about the crimes committed in the night from March 23 to 24, 1990 by Armenian forces, supported by the Soviet army in the Baganis Ayrim village in the Gazakh region.
Speaking at the presentation, Pashayeva said the aim of publishing the book is to inform international public opinion about the Armenian occupation policy, which covered not only the Nagorno-Karabakh, but also other regions of Azerbaijan, including the Gazakh region.
"We want to tell the world the truth about the genocide committed in Baganis Ayrim with this book. Sometimes it seems that the Armenian armed forces had committed genocide only in Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas. But the Armenian armed forces occupied seven villages of the Gazakh region. This book outlines the specific photographs showing the vandalism of Armenians and the names of some criminals," she added.
Pashayeva said, the book also presents the testimony of witnesses of the genocide in Baganis Ayrim, individuals whose relatives and beloveds were victims of crimes committed there.
The book will be translated into Russian and Arabic in the coming months, Pashayeva said.
Co-author of the book, Ashirli said the Armenian lobby around the world launches the campaign for the recognition of fictional "Armenian Genocide" each year on the eve of April 24. The book "The victims of the genocide committed by Armenians - Baganis Ayrim" will respond to the distributed Armenians lie, he said.
Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor Khanlar Valiyev is the main consultant of the book.
