NEW DETAILS OF THE DEADLY CRASH IN AZERBAIJAN REVEALED - UPDATE - PHOTOS

The other 4 individuals killed in the passenger bus collision in Tovuz region of Azerbaijan have been identified. They are Khalid Omarov, Sevinj Omarova, Tahmina Gambarova and Ramin Mammadov. In total, 8 people died and 12 people received injuried as a result of the tragic accident.

Three of the 12 people injured during the collision are in critical condition, chief medical officer of the Tovuz Regional Hospital Pasha Muradov said. 

He said injured are Georgian citizens Gurban Osmanov, Mahammad Osmanov, Nadir Osmanov, Turkish citizens Zohra Yardimchi, Burad Yardimchi, residents of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh region Fariz Gojayev, Oksana Aliyeva, Farid Gojayev, Goshqar Mehmanov, Tovuz resident Gafar Masimov, Ganja resident Rzagulu Mammadov and Gazakh resident Masima Aliyeva.

Four of the killed have been identified. Three of them are citizens of Turkey - Ozan Kazim, Yashar Yardimchi and Borat Yardimchi. Nizami Huseynov is Azerbaijani.

A child and several women including driver of one of the buses passed away, the Tovuz region Prosecutor Fakhraddin Mammadov said.

Reportedly, the passengers on board of the "Mercedes" buses are residents of Tovuz, Ganja (regions of Azerbaijan), and also Georgia.

Two large passenger buses collided on the 420th kilometre section of the Baku-Gazakh highway.  The collision left nine people dead and several injured.

Currently, investigation is underway to learn reason that led to the accident.
